ADVANCE does what it says. This is the motto by which we develop and produce our paragliders and products for pilots worldwide – to the highest standards in manufacturing quality and precision. When you consider the number of cells in a wing, even the most trivial variations in the cutting out of parts or sewing them together can add up to significant changes in a paraglider’s flying behaviour. That is why we have extensive quality control in our own factory in Vietnam, to make sure that work on every product is visually checked and measured between each single assembly process - from first putting scissors to cloth, all the way to the done-and-dusted fold up.

EN/LTF certification plays an important role because the official example of a model represents the benchmark for every serial product. Along with flight and load tests the wing is extensively measured by the certifying authority. The working drawings and list of materials submitted by the manufacturer serve as detailed references, and all this information together forms part of the approval documentation. The process is clearly defined, and, as such, is intended to ensure complete transparency. There is no room for manoeuvre. Even when fabric distortion and line stretch are allowed for we’re only talking tolerances of the order of 1%. This is an important aspect, especially for the pilot, because it might add to any existing variations in a paraglider, and lead to significantly altered flying behaviour - to a different product actually, which could call for a very different level of piloting skill; under certain conditions.

At the bottom line we, as manufacturer, are fully committed to the principle that our serial gliders are 100% of what we say they are. Our pilots have trusted ADVANCE for 25 years! They can continue to do so!
