The ADVANCE XC Serial Team battles on – in the far north, in Poland, in the Black Forest, in the sunny Swiss homeland and in South Tirol. The ADVANCE cross country pilots are notching up long flights everywhere.

Leading the FAI-WXC Serial Class
Adam Grzech, Polish OMEGA 8 pilot, currently has his nose in front in the FAI WXC Serial Class rankings as a result of his consistent splendid performances – he’s ahead of his fellow team member Kurt Eder, who turned in another highpoint of this cross country season with a dream FAI triangle of 261 km at home in South Tirol. After this flight even kilometer-hungry OMEGA 8 Pilot Eder had had enough – in his own words: “Lord, please let it rain.....I’m knackered.......“

A new Black Forest record for Samuel Blocher
In Germany ADVANCE XC Serial Team pilots have been scoring with long flights: Samuel Blocher flew 200 kms with his OMEGA 8 from Oppenau to near Augsburg and set a new Black Forest record. With a brilliant 136 km flight from the Black Forest to Amriswil in Kanton Thurgau, Switzerland, Samuel’s Teammate Bernd Dieterle has put himself on the map.

Creative flights
As for last year’s XC season Chrigel Maurer will choose a most creative flight each month this season. In April XC Serial Team pilots kicked off the season in the far north with some impressive flights - especially Tom Salamonsen’s flight from the Norwegian mountains to the coast. For May Chrigel chose Thomas Stivanello’s flight from Marbachegg out into the flatlands. Thomas chose this route “from the heart – not for the record books”, as he said himself.
