| A look at the 2007 OLC season
05.10.07 | ADVANCE Pilots from all over the World achieve top results in the various OLC national scoring. The 2007 Online Contest didn’t turn out to be a highlight in the history of this event. All too often last “summer’s” poor to downright bad weather prevented long distance flights being achieved. And, besides, the absence of a standardized and transparent international ranking list dealt the idea of this competition a bitter blow. It remains for us to hope that next season both the weather and the quality of the results will return to normal. It wasn’t all bad, though. The indifferent weather didn’t stop some pilots from making great flights nonetheless, and they should be delighted at their obviously improving performance level. Elisabeth Schmidt (OMEGA 7) won the women’s OLC scoring in Austria. Rolf von Arx (EPSILON 5) took second place in the Swiss Fun & Safety class. Regula Strasser (OMEGA 7) and Martina Sigel (OMEGA 6) were second and fourth in the ladies’ results. Stefan Schmocker (OMEGA) won the Swiss OLC open class. Thomas Koster (OMEGA 7) and Michael Sigel (OMEGA) followed up in third and fourth places. In Germany Hildrun Kleiner (SIGMA 6), Samuel Blocher (Omega 7), Karl Ruhland and Erich Weber (BI BETA) all achieved first places. In Poland two OMEGA 7s finished on the podium - Marcin Gorayski and Grzegorz Olejnik came in first and third. In the international XC-Contest results two OMEGA 7 Pilots, Thomas Koster (CH) und Klaus Heimhofer (AT), made second and third places. Regula Strasser (CH) OMEGA 7 took third place in the women’s rankings. All the pilots get our heartiest congratulations – keep the fun rolling in! Here is Rolf von Arx’s personal view of his 2007 OLC Season. <- Atrás, a la lista de noticias |
