Closure Remember Kit IMPRESS 2 / 2+
09.06.11 | ADVANCE wants to maintain the safety of its pilots and now offers a retrofit kit for the IMPRESS 2/2+ harness.
This new safety link attached to the chest/leg strap system should satisfy two purposes:
When the pilot closes the speedbag the extra red strap draws attention to the chest/leg strap arrangement, suggesting that it also should have been closed. The risk that one forgets to close the chest strap because the speedbag has already been fastened will therefore be minimised.
In addition this simple system will prevent the pilot from falling out of the harness if (after a rejected takeoff) a second takeoff has been made after the chest/leg straps have been unfastened for the walk back, (leaving the speedbag done up) and forgotten. This represents a major contribution to flight safety.
