Andy Hediger wins with the OMEGA 8!
23.11.11 | ADVANCE Team Pilot Andy Hediger made the Pre-PWC his own at Nina Paula, Argentina! The Swiss “veteran" cross country flier is very impressed with the OMEGA 8.
Andy found that he could completely rely on his OMEGA 8 during this FAI 2 competition, contested exclusively with serial wings: "The OMEGA 8 goes SUPER.... you only have to be able to fly out.... absolutely GREAT.... simple.... and it can’t get bumpy enough for me.... MEGA !!"
The first task had to be abandoned because of rain, and the second task was indeed started – then stopped. Andy Hediger still flew on for 160 km and then landed because there was no retrieve on hand. According to Andy 250km would have been easy to make on this day.
