The 5th European Paramotor Championship took place in Lomzya in Poland from the 2nd to the 10th of August. 58 pilots from 13 countries took part in the solo foot launch category. 6 various tasks – navigation, precision, speed, economy . . . – were undertaken to find the new champion : Juan José GARCIA DE ABAJO of Spain won by a 2 point lead (on a total of more than 4200) over his Spanish team-mate, Ramon MORILLAS, followed by French champion Mathieu ROUANET.
Ramon MORILLAS, 3 times paramotor world champion, found the flying place interesting : “the flying area was very nice to fly paramotor. The organizers of the competition did a great job; and for me, a bad landing - at less than 2 meters from the finish line - made me lose the victory in the championship by 2 points! That’s competition...!”
In the national rankings, Spain finished first ahead of France and Poland: another medal for Ramon!
