EPSILON 7 on the home straight!
20.07.12 | Development of the EPSILON 7 is almost finished. The simplicity, performance and looks of the new fun Intermediate make it an attractive proposition.
The long awaited EPSILON 7 breakthrough was made within the last few weeks. The whole ADVANCE development team had been working hard, doing a lot of testing, and have now found the perfect mix of pilot requirement and performance that they were looking for. As a fun Intermediate the new EPSILON is suitable for a broad pilot group, so is emphatically not in the High-End department of EN B. With an aspect ratio of 5.25 the wing is very compact and simple, but can absolutely hold its own with the best of its class in performance.
In the final phase of development the team has been perfecting the last technical details and the handling, in particular. They have successfully achieved the required balance of a comfortable smooth brake pressure with the desired degree of direct response. A weight well under 5 kg naturally contributes to very easy takeoff qualities. Furthermore, great importance was attached to a clean-standing canopy with good looks. All lines are covered on the new EPSILON, and there is no Dyneema on the base lines. This favours maximum life and quality. As usual for ADVANCE superior workmanship will result in a well finished product.
The EPSILON 7 comes in 4 sizes and the new ADVANCE colour scheme. The latter stands out as a clear, simple linear design. Certification is planned for the beginning of August, first deliveries are expected in September.
