First victory for the OMEGA 7
06.02.07 | Alberto Martinez Brunn wins the Serial Class at the Monarca Open in Mexico.
The Monarca Open comp in Valle Bravo Mexico was used this year by many top pilots to prepare themselves for the Worlds in Australia. The organisation, friendly atmosphere and beautiful landscape made this competition a great kick-start to the new season for many pilots! Valle Bravo is scene of the Worlds 2009.
Six tasks were run, sometimes in pretty demanding conditions during the flying period of January 29th to February 3rd. The serial class was won by the Mexican OMEGA 7 pilot Alberto Martinez Brunn. Alberto came second in the overall result; he was even able to beat the world champion Steve Cox! Three ADVANCE pilots in the first eight places are a great start to the new season. Congratulations to all pilots!
The competitors are now going to Manilla Australia for the XC Open from February 14th to February 21st. Following that, the 10th FAI Paragliding World championship will take place from February 24th to March 9th.
