Double victory for the OMEGA 7 in the XC Open Final Results
02.12.07 | Thomas Skarpas and Hans Bausenwein celebrate a double victory in the serial class of the XC Open results. Godfrey Wenness finished second in the open class.
In this season’s XC Open Series the pilots could count the total of 16 tasks, so this competition presented them with something a little different from the PWC. In this free distance discipline tactics and a correct assessment of the conditions are fundamentally more important.
It almost goes without saying that we are, of course, especially delighted at the significance of four OMEGA 7 pilots finishing in the top 10 of the XC Open serial class. Along with this, Dorothea Stichlmair’s result as second best scoring lady in the total results while underway with yet another glider with the winglets stretches our grin from ear to ear.
Sincere congratulations to all the pilots, and here’s to the first XC Open competition of 2008 in Manilla from the 9th to the 16th of February.
