Chrigel Maurer chooses the month’s most creative flight

As well as those big distances that bring in the points ADVANCE also values those flights which may not necessarily be right at the top in online ranking, but which get your attention by their unconventional choice of track. Each month the most creative attempt is chosen by many-times world cup victor and 2011 XAlps Winner Chrigel Maurer.

Most creative flights 2012

September 2012: Adam Grzech 109 km, Olesnica (PL):
Chrigel Maurer has chosen the most creative flight of the month for the last time this XC season. September's decision goes to Adam Grzech for his 109 km one-way flight in his home country, Poland.  "A flatland flight like this in September is difficult", said Chrigel. Adam Grzech's flight

August 2012: Thomas Klingler, 218 km, Fiesch (CH)

Chrigel Maurer has chosen Thomas Klingler's 19th August 2012 200km flight for the most creative flight of the month. Although this FAI triangle from Fiesch (CH) is regarded as a standard flight, Chrigel - especially taking this into special account - chose it because Thomas has twice managed the same flight in two days, achieving a significantly greater distance than his rivals.
