The forces at a paraglider’s leading edge act in various directions, and this is why ADVANCE (and only ADVANCE) align the Ripstop fabric in the specifically optimal direction in this area. This is how distortion of the canopy is minimised.

To make sure that the cloth is up to the job in this strongly loaded region we use a robust fabric with a special coating.
